This artwork was inspired by the Bible verse in the book of John where Jesus prays for future generations to be unified and to know the Father's love as He Himself is loved by the Father.
"I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me." - John 17:22-23
Subtle vignettes of faces (representing all people and nations) are superimposed on the image of Jesus Himself - symbolizing how intimately aware He is of our lives - even before we ever existed! An image of olive wood from Jerusalem serves as the backdrop to this powerful piece.
