The inspiration for this piece is the story in the Bible where Mary is told by the angel of God, "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus."
Mary, through her extreme surrender to God's will for her life, became the chosen vessel through which God gave the world the Savior, Jesus! God asked Mary to surrender everything to Him - to live a life of costly obedience - and she did it willingly. God's plans aren't always easy, but they are always best! May we all learn to trust the love of God deeply enough to say to Him "...may it be done to me according to your word."
