“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the One who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6

God tells us again and again in the Bible not to be afraid when we face opposition – or simply the unknown. He tells us instead to face our fears with confidence, strength, and bravery. Why? Because HE is our own “special forces”, so to speak, who goes before us, clearing our path, and exposing the opposition while overpowering and defeating our enemy.

Satan’s most effective strategy in derailing mankind is to cast doubt or unbelief on the truth that God is who He says He is, and does what He says He’s going to do. If Satan can convince people that God is non-existent, distant or uncaring, they might never reach out to Him as their loving Father. Through Jesus’ work on the cross, He is the only ONE with the ultimate power to crush Satan by exposing him as a defeated bully.

So, let us shed our unbelief and stand in faith that we can take God at His word. We can be brave in the face of adversity when we call upon the Name of Jesus. We can be confident of a victory when we walk in God’s power, strength and love... because God is on OUR side!
